Sr. Manager, Capital Markets Controllership

Location: Toronto, ON; hybrid arrangement with 1–3 days per week on-site at Toronto-81 Bay

What you will do

• Lead a team responsible for the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting for Equity Derivative business units.
• Oversee financial and management accounting information for Equity products trading and Trading Resource Management portfolios.
• Manage the setup, maintenance, and reporting of multiple trading portfolios and related initiatives.
• Provide advisory oversight for new and ongoing financial reporting processes.
• Enhance, automate, and standardize existing reporting processes.
• Develop team capabilities through hiring, training, job shadowing, and special projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a business-related field.
• Related experience and understanding of accounting concepts and processes for complex or sensitive information.
• Knowledge of financial instruments, including loans, deposits, equity products, equity derivatives, currency derivatives, interest-rate products, and hybrid instruments.
• Experience in accounting and financial analytics is preferred; MBA, CFA, or CPA credentials are advantageous.
• Strong critical thinking, analytical, communication, judgment, leadership, teamwork, and relationship-building skills.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and hold a valid work or study permit where applicable.
