What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain highly available, resilient, and scalable cloud-native data platform infrastructure.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code solutions with Terraform and automate platform operations.
• Build monitoring, alerting, observability, SLO, capacity planning, and incident response practices.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize distributed storage, compute, streaming, and ETL systems.
• Lead root cause analysis, architecture reviews, fault-tolerance initiatives, and performance improvements.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, improve security and compliance, and contribute to platform roadmaps.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in software, platform, site reliability, or cloud engineering.
• Experience managing large-scale cloud platforms, distributed systems, Databricks, and large-scale data processing environments.
• Deep expertise in AWS services, including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, and CloudFormation.
• Strong Python programming and automation skills, hands-on Terraform and Infrastructure as Code experience, and knowledge of distributed data and compute technologies.
• Strong understanding of reliability, scalability, observability, performance optimization, monitoring, logging, and incident response.

Nice to have

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD platforms, and deployment automation tools.
• Experience with data lake, lakehouse, or modern data platform architectures.
• Relevant AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, or Databricks certifications.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading cross-functional technical initiatives.
