TL;DR
Student Worker - Marine Engineering Support (Marine Engineering): Supporting methodologies for the sea transport of wind turbine components with an accent on engineering analysis, transport-route evaluation, and technical documentation. Focus on generating Hs/Tp scatter diagrams, standardizing bolt reuse methods, formatting wind load packages, and maintaining weight and dimension documents.

Location: Preferred location is Vejle, Denmark; applications are welcome regardless of the candidate's current location.

What you will do

  • Support methodologies for accelerating sea transport design for wind turbine components.
  • Generate Hs/Tp scatter diagrams and evaluate multiple sea transport routes.
  • Assist with standardizing bolt reuse methods.
  • Format wind load packages and Marine Warranty Surveyor documents using LaTeX.
  • Update and maintain weight and dimension documentation.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marine Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, Hydrodynamics, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of wave–structure interaction and ship stability.
  • Familiarity with potential flow theory and classification society rules such as DNV, BV, and ABS.
  • Knowledge of numerical programming using MATLAB and/or Python.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Orcina software, including OrcaFlex and OrcaWave.
