Engineering Intern

Location: Onsite in Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States

Salary: $18.00–$20.00 per hour

What you will do

• Walk down plant systems and develop as-built Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams.
• Create ACAD drawings and identify systems and components.
• Support plant engineering design, project management, reporting, and data distribution activities.
• Learn and support plant, steam, distribution, operations, and maintenance systems.
• Provide operations engineering support for plant and distribution performance optimization.
• Meet weekly with plant staff to report progress.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a four-year undergraduate program in engineering, sustainability, environmental science, computer science, or a related field.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require sponsorship now or in the future.
• Strong time management, organization, prioritization, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Safety-conscious, technically oriented, resourceful, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must pass a company-sponsored pre-employment physical examination and drug screening.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, maneuver objects over 100 pounds, climb ladders, enter confined spaces, and work in extreme temperatures, noise, and other plant hazards.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of Microsoft products and AutoCAD.
• Interest in learning and using new technology platforms.
