Senior Director Quantum Technology Solutions (Quantum Computing)

Location: GF fab locations in New York or Vermont, USA; willingness to travel 25% or more is required.

Salary: $198,000–$333,000 per year, depending on qualifications, experience, and location.

What you will do

• Develop and execute the GF Labs quantum technology roadmap and strategic customer engagements.
• Recruit, onboard, mentor, and lead a multidisciplinary organization of quantum physicists, integration and process engineers, design enablement engineers, and project managers.
• Plan and execute customer joint development programs targeting quantum systems with more than one million qubits.
• Build partnerships with quantum materials and tools providers, research institutions, and universities.
• Lead system integration, cryogenic operations, hardware quality, and reliability initiatives.
• Manage project scope, timelines, OKR-driven performance tracking, specialized fabrication improvements, and eight-quarter R&D budget planning.

Requirements

• MS or PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• At least 15 years of experience in semiconductor or quantum R&D.
• Experience with advanced semiconductor process integration, especially BEOL integration, photonics, or at least two quantum modalities.
• Experience leading large, high-growth engineering organizations and complex strategic planning.
• Expert organizational and project management skills with a record of delivering complex hardware milestones.
• Fluent English, written and verbal, and willingness to travel 25% or more are required.
