Threat Research Engineer (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Monitor, analyze, and research emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, exploits, threat actors, and attack campaigns.
• Analyze adversary behavior, objectives, attack lifecycles, tactics, techniques, and procedures.
• Produce and test hunting and enrichment rules, including Yara rules, and create threat signatures.
• Perform intelligence collection and initial static and dynamic malware analysis.
• Develop tools to automate and scale threat detection and response activities.
• Write technical blog posts and collaborate with security, malware research, product, and engineering teams on cross-product intelligence.

Requirements

• 7 years of relevant technical experience.
• B.E./B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, or MCS in Computer Science from a reputed institution.
• Expertise in vulnerability research and experience with threat hunting, incident response, or security operations.
• Experience with threat intelligence tools such as VirusTotal and Shodan.
• Knowledge of security controls, digital forensics, kill chain analysis, risk assessment, security metrics, reverse engineering, networking, TCP/IP, programming or scripting languages, application file formats, and operating system internals.
• Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving skills, initiative, adaptability, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
