Vulnerability Researcher (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Research newly discovered vulnerabilities across a wide range of software products.
• Reverse engineer binaries, network protocols, file formats, and software.
• Develop and verify proof-of-concept files and reliable exploit code.
• Produce vulnerability reports covering detection and attack vectors.
• Monitor security publications and emerging threats.
• Build and improve tools that automate vulnerability research and reverse-engineering analysis.

Requirements

• Knowledge of TCP/IP and higher-level networking protocols, including wire-level protocols, RF communications, BGP, or routing protocols.
• Experience with static and dynamic reverse engineering of binaries across architectures such as x86, x64, ARM, PPC, MIPS, SPARC, or 68k.
• Knowledge of operating-system internals and the ability to analyze and describe vulnerabilities and attack methods.
• Experience with IDA Pro, Ghidra, Binary Ninja, WinDbg, gdb, LLDB, and Wireshark.
• Programming experience in at least two of C/C++, assembly language, Java, Python, or .NET; understanding of DEP and ASLR.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, self-direction, and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a related field.
• Industry experience in a similar technical role.
• Senior, Staff, or Principal-level vulnerability research experience.
