Lead Software Engineer (Java)

What you will do

• Prototype, design, develop, and support a highly scalable cloud security data platform and middleware.
• Build and operate data platforms handling millions of transactions per second and hundreds of terabytes of data.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, create proofs of concept, and roll solutions into production.
• Design resilient client SDKs for application communication with data sources.
• Migrate, burst, and scale data technology stacks in the cloud with minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, and operations teams on platform and infrastructure capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience developing SaaS products for service-oriented deployments in public or private clouds.
• Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases, including data platform technologies such as Cassandra, Redis, Elasticsearch, Kafka, Ceph, Flink, or Spark.
• Strong Java programming skills, object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, debugging, and production-ready software development.
• Experience with Terraform, infrastructure orchestration and automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly, work in agile environments, and mentor other engineers.

Nice to have

• Experience building a data platform from the ground up.
• Knowledge of data encryption, security standards, Docker, Kubernetes, and monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
• Experience with HashiCorp, configuration management, build, and continuous deployment technologies.
