Senior Consultant, Business Controls (Chief Administrative Office)

Location: Toronto, ON; hybrid work with 1–3 days per week on-site at Toronto-81 Bay

What you will do

• Serve as a trusted risk advisor and relationship manager for Chief Administrative Office functional groups supporting Personal and Business Banking and Commercial Banking & Wealth Management.
• Maintain a strong control environment and support proactive operational risk management.
• Lead risk assessments, incident reporting, deficiency remediation, and change initiative risk assessments.
• Execute Control Framework requirements, including RCSAs, scenarios, key risk indicators, regulatory compliance incidents, and control testing.
• Lead internal audits and compliance examinations, advise on control gaps, and develop remediation plans and control requirements.
• Provide subject-matter expertise, coaching, negotiation, and indirect leadership to business partners and second- and third-line risk functions.

Requirements

• Experience in business controls, governance, audit, compliance, and/or operational risk management.
• Extensive knowledge of risk management principles, practices, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to communicate Control Framework requirements and accountabilities to business partners.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, communication, relationship-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and hold a valid work or study permit where applicable.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid arrangement with 1–3 days per week on-site.
