Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Applicants should be located within a 1.5-hour commute of Luton, United Kingdom. The work model prioritizes in-person collaboration while offering some flexibility. Applicants must be sole British Nationals who have lived and worked continuously in the UK for the past five years and must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance.

What you will do

• Support, maintain, and improve secure enterprise infrastructure and Citrix/VMware virtual desktop environments.
• Manage Windows Server infrastructure, with some exposure to Linux environments.
• Deliver infrastructure upgrades, patching, lifecycle management, and server patching using Shavlik.
• Administer Veritas NetBackup and Cohesity backup and recovery solutions.
• Support licensing, enterprise printing, network switch configuration, and infrastructure changes.
• Participate in infrastructure projects, investigate incidents, identify root causes, and drive permanent improvements through controlled change processes.

Requirements

• Strong experience supporting enterprise Windows Server infrastructure.
• Experience administering virtual desktop environments with Citrix and VMware.
• Experience with infrastructure patching, upgrades, platform maintenance, and backup technologies such as Veritas NetBackup or Cohesity.
• Experience supporting licensing and printing platforms, plus basic network switch configuration.
• Understanding of ITIL change management, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to balance operational support with project delivery.
• Sole British nationality, five years of continuous residence and work in the UK, and eligibility for UK Security Clearance are required.
