Optical Spectroscopy Data Analysis Intern (SERS)

Location: Zürich, Switzerland; flexible work arrangements include home office options and adaptable working hours.

hirify.global is a young startup emerging from ETH Zurich that develops contamination-control technology for the semiconductor industry.

What you will do

• Improve peak-finding algorithms for SERS spectra.
• Analyze SERS spectra from production and prototype tools.
• Establish spectral quality metrics for evaluating optical setups.
• Develop methodologies for classifying defect particles through SERS analysis.
• Assist with hardware development of a 638 nm SERS system.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in Physics, Engineering, Computing, or Data Engineering.
• Experience developing scripts and methodologies for data analysis.
• Familiarity with spectral techniques such as IR, Raman, PL, EDX, or XPS.
• Experience developing or working with optical equipment.
