AI Software Engineer (Node.js)

Location: Vilnius, Lithuania; 4 days onsite and 1 day remote. Work arrangements for roles based outside Vilnius depend on the specific position.

Salary: €4,000–€5,000 gross per month

What you will do

• Design and build AI tooling and infrastructure for a global health and wellness marketplace.
• Develop agentic systems and business solutions powered by custom machine learning models.
• Build low-latency, highly available, business-critical applications.
• Process large volumes of text, image, and video data across marketing, customer support, and business intelligence tools.
• Apply security, observability, and performance optimization practices.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership and contribute to engineering standards.

Requirements

• At least 1.5 years of experience with backend systems, preferably JavaScript.
• Understanding of how infrastructure and application code work together.
• Experience with relational or non-relational databases.
• Ability to work on creative, novel AI-driven products and complex engineering challenges.
• Primary technologies include TypeScript, Node.js, Python, React, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, BigQuery, PgVector, SQS, Redis, ElastiCache, and Datadog.

Nice to have

• Frontend development experience.
• Distributed systems and event-driven system design experience.
• Performance optimization and monitoring experience.
• Machine learning experience.
