Principal Automation & AI Engineer (AI)

Location: Houston, Texas, United States. Hybrid workplace model requiring at least four full days each week in an hirify.global office.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and deploy RPA workflows and AI/ML models that automate complex business processes.
• Build enterprise-scale automation solutions for cloud, infrastructure, service management, asset management, and cloud financial operations.
• Develop AI-powered workflows, copilots, intelligent agents, reusable automation frameworks, APIs, integrations, and self-service capabilities.
• Apply machine learning, generative AI, and predictive analytics to identify risks, anomalies, optimization opportunities, and operational trends.
• Establish development standards, testing practices, security controls, and governance processes for automation and AI solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams.

Requirements

• 6–9 years of progressive experience in automation engineering, software development, or a related technical discipline, including at least 3 years focused on RPA, AI/ML, or intelligent automation.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying AI/ML models with Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, or Azure AI services.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C#, .NET, PowerShell, or similar languages, plus experience with REST APIs, microservices, and data pipelines.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, DevOps practices, cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, containerization, and serverless computing.
• Experience developing API, middleware, iPaaS, enterprise service bus, ServiceNow, and ITSM integrations.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or a related field is preferred; equivalent practical experience is considered.

Nice to have

• Experience with Snowflake, advanced degrees in computer science, artificial intelligence, or data science, and relevant cloud or Agile certifications.
