Test Engineer (Autonomous Vehicles)

What you will do

• Prepare vehicle systems and test plans with engineering teams.
• Coordinate and execute closed-course and on-road testing.
• Evaluate vehicle performance and produce detailed test reports.
• Curate test schedules and coordinate vehicles, drivers, engineers, and other testing resources.
• Operate actor vehicles during testing and support vehicle system inspections, maintenance, and record-keeping.
• Maintain safe, organized test operations at the facility.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 6 years of experience in test engineering or autonomous vehicle development.
• Experience with Linux command line, data logging tools, and Python or MATLAB for data parsing and analysis.
• Experience leading test campaigns at major proving grounds.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle dynamics, autonomous vehicle hardware and software, systems engineering workflows, and requirements verification and validation.
• Availability for flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and willingness to travel.

• Proving ground experience or relevant certifications.
