Test Engineer (Autonomous Vehicles)

What you will do

• Prepare test plans and vehicle systems with engineering teams for test evolutions.
• Coordinate and execute closed-course and on-road testing.
• Prepare test vehicles, operate actor vehicles, and evaluate vehicle performance.
• Generate detailed test reports documenting test results and vehicle performance.
• Curate test schedules and coordinate testing resources across drivers, engineers, and stakeholders.
• Support vehicle inspections, maintenance, record-keeping, and safe facility operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience in test engineering or a related autonomous vehicle development role.
• Experience with the Linux command line and data logging tools.
• Experience with Python or MATLAB for data parsing and analysis.
• Experience leading test campaigns at major proving grounds.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Strong working knowledge of vehicle dynamics and detailed knowledge of autonomous vehicle hardware and software.
• Proficiency with systems engineering workflows and requirements verification and validation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to travel.
• Open-minded, collaborative approach and willingness to help others.
• Passion for working on self-driving technologies.
