TL;DR
Biotechnologist II-Day Shift (Biotechnology): Coordinating material and equipment staging, suite readiness, documentation, and manufacturing-floor support for cGMP biomanufacturing campaigns with an accent on single-use bioreactors, reusable parts, media and buffer preparation, and operational material flow. Focus on supporting tech transfer runs, maintaining GMP compliance, and resolving material-related deviations across shifting production priorities.

Location: Onsite in Portsmouth, NH, USA; Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with flexibility to adjust schedules for campaign timelines or production-floor demands.

What you will do

  • Coordinate the staging, movement, and readiness of process-critical materials, consumables, single-use bioreactors, and equipment.
  • Manage reusable parts, including parts-washer and autoclave activities where applicable.
  • Support weighing components for media and buffer formulation.
  • Develop and execute suite-readiness checklists and track procurement requests, BOM inventories, and deliveries.
  • Provide operational and material-flow support during tech-transfer activities, including water, particle, and engineering runs.
  • Assist manufacturing operations across unit operations such as cell growth, harvest, and fill/finish, while maintaining GMP documentation and supporting deviation resolution.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in cGMP biological manufacturing or a regulated clinical laboratory environment is required.
  • Understanding of aseptic techniques, hygienic processing, and basic microbiology principles.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; a life-sciences Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.
  • Proactive communication, computer literacy, and strong organizational skills for coordinating material requirements across departments.
  • Ability to work in cleanroom gowning conditions, spend extended periods on the production floor, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Onsite work in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, during standard business hours is required.

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience in a cleanroom setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related life-sciences discipline.
