TL;DR
Forward Deployed Engineer (GenAI): Building and validating production-grade GenAI and agentic AI solutions for client workflows with an accent on customer discovery, rapid prototyping, architecture, and production adoption. Focus on designing LLM orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation, tool use, evaluation frameworks, and secure integrations with real enterprise systems and data.

What you will do
- Lead customer discovery and solution shaping for GenAI, agentic AI, and AI-enabled workflow transformation initiatives.
- Translate ambiguous business problems into AI solution designs covering model strategy, data access, orchestration, tool use, integrations, and production constraints.
- Build rapid proof-of-concepts and technical spikes using real or representative systems and data.
- Evaluate LLMs, vector databases, orchestration frameworks, cloud AI services, and agentic tooling.
- Support solutions through MVP or first production release and validate business impact, adoption, quality, latency, and cost.
- Create reusable solution blueprints, evaluation frameworks, and service accelerators while applying security, compliance, Responsible AI, observability, and production-readiness principles.
Requirements
- 8+ years of IT experience, including strong software design and engineering experience.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience architecting or building GenAI or agentic AI systems with modern LLM ecosystems such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Azure AI, or AWS Bedrock.
- Strong understanding of LLM orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation, vector databases, prompt engineering, and tool-calling patterns.
- Proficiency with at least one major cloud platform, including AWS, Azure, or GCP, and its AI/ML services.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals covering API design, integration patterns, CI/CD, containerization, observability, DevSecOps, and production readiness.
- Experience leading technical discussions with engineering and non-technical stakeholders in presales, discovery, or early delivery contexts.
Nice to have
- Experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Field Engineer, Staff Engineer, Solution Architect, or Technical Product Lead.
- Experience with traditional AI/ML systems, MLOps, data pipelines, feature stores, or multi-component AI pipelines.
- Exposure to Responsible AI, data privacy, and governance frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks or Snowflake.
- Cloud and AI certifications from Anthropic, AWS, Azure, or Google.
