Engineer I (Off-Road Equipment Testing)

Location: Cartersville, Georgia, USA, 30121; onsite position. Up to 30% travel.

What you will do

• Conduct field and laboratory testing of off-road machine prototypes to evaluate functionality, durability, and reliability.
• Perform comprehensive product testing and quantify equipment performance and durability.
• Use hardware, measurement transducers, instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and data analysis tools to produce accurate test data.
• Write technical reports presenting factual findings, recommendations, and conclusions.
• Communicate with internal and external customers and suppliers.
• Apply current SAE, ASTM, ISO, and hirify.global Engineering Standards test methods.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of mechanical testing and evaluation.
• Working knowledge of measurement techniques, data acquisition systems, and data analysis.
• Good judgment and communication skills.
• The physical ability to visit other locations and to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, operate equipment, handle light to medium weights of 1–10 pounds, and perform required hand, arm, finger, visual, speaking, hearing, and coordination activities.

Nice to have

• Experience with vehicle and/or structural testing and evaluation.
• Experience with construction, forestry, mining, or agricultural equipment.
• Familiarity with structural, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems used on off-road machines.
