Engineer I (Heavy Equipment Testing)

Location: Onsite in Cartersville, Georgia, USA; up to 30% travel required.

What you will do

• Conduct field and laboratory testing of off-road machine prototypes.
• Evaluate product functionality, performance, durability, and reliability.
• Use data acquisition systems, measurement transducers, instrumentation, and data analysis tools to produce accurate test data.
• Prepare technical reports containing findings, recommendations, and conclusions.
• Communicate with internal and external customers and suppliers.
• Apply SAE, ASTM, ISO, and hirify.global Engineering Standards to testing activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of mechanical testing and evaluation.
• Working knowledge of measurement techniques, data acquisition systems, and data analysis.
• Good judgment and communication skills.
• Ability to perform physical activities including standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and handling light to medium weights.
• Ability to work onsite in Cartersville, Georgia, USA, and travel up to 30%.

Nice to have

• Experience with vehicle or structural testing and evaluation.
• Experience with construction, forestry, mining, or agricultural equipment.
• Familiarity with structural, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems used in off-road machines.
