Lead Maintenance & Facilities Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Scarborough, Ontario, Canada

Salary: $120,000–$135,000 CAD per year, based on experience

What you will do

• Lead facilities technicians and support staff across facility operations and improvement initiatives.
• Safely install, maintain, service, and troubleshoot process, production, and facility equipment.
• Initiate productivity, efficiency, reliability, and capital improvement projects.
• Develop proactive and predictive maintenance practices to reduce repairs and system downtime.
• Support safe, reliable, secure, and operationally excellent facility activities for research and manufacturing.
• Prepare operating reports, maintenance budgets, and analyses for site and division leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent military training and education.
• At least 3 years of facility maintenance or maintenance management experience.
• Experience with facility utilities and equipment, including HVAC systems, chillers, boilers, water treatment, electrical infrastructure, backup systems, and control and monitoring systems.
• Project management or project engineering experience, including complex facility budgets and accounting practices.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal, and team communication skills.
• Knowledge of reliability measures and techniques; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.

Nice to have

• 3–5 years of experience in the chemical manufacturing industry.
• PMP certification.
• Continuous improvement certification such as Lean, Six Sigma, or TPM.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 environments.
• SAP experience and strong Microsoft Office skills.
