TL;DR
Data Analytics Engineer (dbt/SQL): Building and maintaining reliable analytical data models and marts that transform raw data into trustworthy datasets for organization-wide decision-making with an accent on data modeling, quality validation, documentation, and warehouse performance. Focus on designing scalable transformations, monitoring data pipelines, standardizing metrics and schemas, and translating complex business processes into reusable analytical datasets.
Location: Remote, European Union or Ukraine; applicants from other countries may apply if located within approximately ±4 hours of CET.

What you will do
- Design, build, and maintain dbt staging, core, and mart models based on business needs.
- Develop scalable SQL transformations and optimize query performance and warehouse costs.
- Implement data quality tests, custom validation checks, and anomaly detection.
- Create documentation covering datasets, data lineage, business logic, and transformation rules.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Analysts, Product Managers, and Marketing teams to deliver reliable analytical datasets.
- Monitor pipelines and data marts, resolve reporting inconsistencies, and support governance through standardized schemas, taxonomies, and metric definitions.
Requirements
- Strong SQL skills and a deep understanding of analytical data modeling.
- Hands-on experience with dbt models, tests, documentation, and macros.
- Experience with cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery or ClickHouse.
- Understanding of ETL/ELT, orchestration, version control, CI/CD, and data quality frameworks.
- Ability to translate complex business processes into clean, reusable analytical datasets.
- Strong documentation skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Python, Airflow, or Dagster.
- Experience with marketing, product, or billing datasets.
- Exposure to metric layers, semantic-layer design, or BI governance.
- Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, BigQuery cost optimization, or ClickHouse performance tuning.
