Product Line Director (X-ray Rooms)

Location: Rochester, NY, US; traditional office environment. Approximately 20% domestic and international travel required.

Salary: $157,600–$170,000 per year

What you will do

• Own the product strategy, portfolio positioning, and multi-year roadmap for Digital Radiography Rooms and Bone Mineral Density (DXA/BMD) solutions.
• Analyze clinical workflows, market trends, reimbursement dynamics, technology developments, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to identify growth opportunities.
• Lead product lifecycle management from market intelligence and business case development through new product introduction, commercialization, optimization, and discontinuation.
• Translate customer and clinical requirements into product specifications and engineering design requirements.
• Partner with R&D, Engineering, Clinical Applications, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, suppliers, and OEM partners.
• Own product performance metrics, P&L objectives, investment priorities, pricing strategy, margin expectations, and lifecycle profitability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Medical Technology, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of experience in medical device product management, product development, marketing, engineering, or related healthcare technology fields.
• Experience leading upstream product strategy, roadmap development, and new product introduction for complex medical devices.
• Experience with products involving hardware, software, AI, workflow solutions, or connected healthcare platforms.
• Knowledge of healthcare informatics standards and workflows, including DICOM, HL7, IHE, EMR integration, PACS, and RIS.
• Ability to lead complex cross-functional programs, evaluate technology and strategic partnerships, prioritize investments, and communicate with technical and commercial audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience with Digital Radiography, Bone Mineral Density (DXA/BMD), or related diagnostic imaging technologies.
• Advanced degree such as an MBA, MS in Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience with strategic partnerships, OEM relationships, or technology evaluation.
