Senior Java Developer (Java)

Location: Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid)

Salary: €28,000–€52,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop scalable and efficient Java solutions.
• Maintain and optimize existing applications built with Java.
• Work with JavaFX and Swing applications, including mandatory Java 6 environments.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices.
• Deploy applications in on-premise environments.
• Coach junior and mid-level developers and participate in the trained 24/7 on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience as a Java or full-stack developer.
• Hands-on experience with Java 6, JavaFX, and Swing.
• Knowledge of Clean Code, SOLID principles, and security best practices.
• Experience with Scrum, CI/CD, automated testing, and on-premise deployments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Dutch or French combined with very good English is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with LeSS or with multiple teams working from a single backlog.
