Senior Buyer, Capital Procurement

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end procurement for capital projects, including EPC, engineering services, capital equipment, and related project spend.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, Technology, and other stakeholders from project definition through execution and close-out.
• Manage RFx processes, bid evaluations, commercial assessments, supplier selection, and complex negotiations.
• Identify cost optimization, value engineering, productivity improvement, CapEx savings, and cost avoidance opportunities.
• Build strategic supplier relationships and lead performance reviews, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, approval matrices, contract standards, regulatory requirements, ethics, safety, quality, and sustainability expectations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 10 years of procurement experience in manufacturing or industrial environments, including substantial capital procurement and project-based sourcing experience.
• Hands-on experience sourcing EPC services, engineering services, and capital equipment.
• Strong expertise in RFx execution, cost modeling, TCO analysis, contract negotiations, supplier risk management, and SRM practices.
• Experience with ERP systems, eSourcing platforms, and procurement data analytics tools.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Mandarin are required.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in a relevant discipline.
• Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or structured project management methodologies such as PMP.
• CPSM, CIPS, CSCP, PMP, or equivalent professional certification.
