TL;DR
Senior Analytics Engineer (SQL/dbt/BigQuery): Building scalable, analytics-ready data models and product marts from raw data with an accent on data quality, documentation, and stakeholder-focused analytics. Focus on designing performant warehouse solutions, debugging orchestration pipelines, supporting AI integration, and improving the reliability and usability of business datasets.
Location: London, United Kingdom; site-based role requiring employees to work at least 3 days (60%+) per week from a office or work location.

What you will do
- Develop high-quality data models that transform raw data into clean, analytics-ready datasets using SQL, Python, dbt, BigQuery, and Prefect.
- Translate business and analytical requirements into scalable product marts in collaboration with the Data Product Owner and product stakeholders.
- Build performant datasets for dashboards, reporting, and analysis.
- Design scalable data solutions that support AI integration and evolving business needs.
- Debug pipelines, validate outputs, resolve data issues, and collaborate with source system teams.
- Document data logic, maintain quality checks and version control, and prioritise work based on business impact.
Requirements
- Advanced SQL skills and experience with modern data warehouses, particularly GCP BigQuery.
- Hands-on experience with dbt or similar data transformation tools.
- Strong data modelling knowledge, including star schema design and scalable data assets for BI and user-facing tools.
- Experience with Prefect, Airflow, or similar orchestration tools, plus Python for data orchestration.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle practices, data quality frameworks, observability, and GitHub-based source control.
- Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders and experience working in Agile environments.
