TL;DR
Backend Engineer (Node.js) (Event-Driven Architecture): Building and integrating backend services and asynchronous workflows for a remote project based in Portugal with an accent on Node.js, TypeScript, cloud platforms, and API architecture. Focus on designing service-oriented systems, connecting warehouse management and eCommerce systems, and creating testable, continuously delivered code.
Location: Remote project based in Portugal; Portuguese or other EU citizenship, or a valid Portuguese work permit required
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience with Vanilla JavaScript and/or TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
- Experience building and handling asynchronous and event-driven workflows.
- Knowledge of HTTP, REST, GraphQL, service-oriented architectures, design patterns, and data structures.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, plus SQL and NoSQL data stores.
- Ability to create testable code, prioritize testing, and use Git, linters, type checkers, and static analysis tools in continuous delivery processes.
- English proficiency at B2/C1 level and eligibility to work in Portugal required.
