Senior Java Developer (Compliance Tech)

Location: Asia; full-time onsite or remote

What you will do

• Develop and implement core compliance technology products.
• Design and implement product features in collaboration with product managers.
• Tune system performance, troubleshoot online incidents, and refactor systems.
• Write clean, high-quality, maintainable Java code using engineering best practices.
• Identify, log, and resolve compliance issues while collaborating with other departments on compliance projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
• Proficiency in core Java and familiarity with the Spring Framework.
• Proficiency in MySQL and familiarity with at least one NoSQL database.
• Proficiency in distributed system design and familiarity with messaging middleware and its design principles.
• Strong cross-team communication skills and the ability to learn quickly and work under pressure.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Spring Cloud and microservice design.
• Fintech or compliance systems experience, or familiarity with the cryptocurrency industry.
• Experience or interest in developing backends, APIs, libraries, and SDKs.
• Performance tuning experience with JVM, SQL, or RPC.
• Global team management experience.
