NLP Algorithm Engineer Intern

What you will do

• Develop LLM-based Q&A systems, agents, and algorithmic workflow applications.
• Design and optimize prompts and workflows to improve model performance.
• Implement tool use through function calling and foundational multi-turn dialogue logic.
• Build NLP capabilities for text classification, information extraction, and semantic matching.
• Train and optimize small-scale classification and labeling models.
• Clean data, perform basic feature engineering, and analyze results.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python, strong problem-solving skills, and good coding practices.
• Knowledge of common NLP tasks and standard methodologies, including text classification, NER, and semantic matching.
• Ability to independently train and fine-tune simple classification or labeling models.
• Understanding of Transformer and BERT architectures, training objectives, and application scenarios.
• Experience with large language models, including API usage and basic prompt engineering.
• Understanding of agent fundamentals such as tool use and multi-turn dialogue, or experience implementing them.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Q&A systems, chatbots, or RAG frameworks.
• Strong foundations in machine learning and deep learning.
• Proficiency in Java or experience with backend development, API design, and service implementation.
