Principle Mobile Software Engineer (AI): Defining mobile architecture and engineering standards for connected-product applications across iOS, Android, React Native, cloud, firmware, and AI with an accent on platform reliability, cross-platform strategy, and device connectivity. Focus on solving complex mobile/AI integration challenges, designing on-device inference and cloud AI data contracts, and building reusable frameworks for organization-wide engineering quality.

What you will do
- Own complex mobile engineering challenges across native iOS and Android, React Native, cloud integration, device connectivity, and AI-driven development.
- Define mobile architecture standards, cross-platform strategy, testing principles, and production-readiness criteria.
- Design integration patterns connecting mobile applications with cloud services, firmware, and connected devices.
- Act as a technical authority across Mobile, Firmware, Cloud, Hardware, Product, and Design, leading design reviews and communities of practice.
- Mentor senior and staff engineers while creating reusable frameworks, reference architectures, and documentation.
- Define AI-ready mobile architecture, including on-device inference, AI-powered features, and data contracts for cloud-based AI services.
Requirements
- 12+ years of progressive software engineering experience with deep expertise in native iOS, Swift, Android, Kotlin, and React Native.
- Demonstrated success solving complex mobile architecture, cross-platform unification, and consumer-scale reliability challenges.
- Deep experience with mobile-to-cloud integration, BLE/Wi-Fi connectivity, firmware interfaces, and cloud services.
- Recognized technical authority with experience setting engineering standards and frameworks across teams.
- Strong cross-functional influence and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to have
- Rust, C, or C++ experience for cross-platform or performance-critical work.
- Connected product, IoT, robotics, smart home, consumer electronics, or AI-integrated mobile architecture experience.
- Experience with on-device ML, AI-assisted development, LLM interfaces, platform unification, or large-scale architectural transitions.
