What you will do

• Operate pumps, valves, reaction vessels, and related equipment safely throughout the production process.
• Transfer raw materials, produce batches according to written instructions, and maintain records of materials, temperatures, pressures, weights, lot numbers, and deviations.
• Sample in-process reactions and package finished goods for shipment.
• Perform minor routine maintenance and operate a forklift.
• Apply basic chemical production methods, including vacuum and atmospheric distillation, washes, extractions, and filtrations.
• Collaborate with coworkers and supervisors on process and safety improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry preferred, or an associate degree in science with chemistry experience; alternatively, 2–5 years of experience as a chemical operator.
• Ability to wear a full-face respirator, lift at least 50 pounds, and perform standing, walking, climbing, and other physically demanding duties.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to learn new tasks, accept feedback, take accountability, and complete assigned work.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and internet use.
• Proficiency in basic algebra, multitasking, teamwork, and accountability.
