Location: Latsia, Lefkosia, Cyprus

develops software, services, content, and platform technology for regulated gaming markets. The GPAS unit provides a distributed games delivery platform for online casino products.
What you will do
- Design, develop, refactor, support, and review server-side Scala applications.
- Collaborate with platform teams to deliver features and maintain high engineering standards.
- Work autonomously while taking ownership of assigned technical solutions.
- Optimize the platform for maximum throughput, scalability, and reliability.
- Build and maintain distributed, event-driven capabilities for online casino games.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience developing server-side applications in Scala.
- Strong knowledge of Scala, preferably Scala 3, and SBT.
- Experience with Pekko or Akka, including HTTP, Actors, Cluster, Persistence, Streams, and connectors.
- Strong understanding of the JVM, data structures, algorithms, parallel programming, and concurrency.
- Practical experience building high-scale distributed systems with complex interfaces and integrations.
- Clear and effective communication in English is required.
Nice to have
- Experience in the iGaming domain, Typesafe Config, Play JSON, or ScalaTest.
- Experience with Couchbase or other document-based NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with AWS S3, DynamoDB, Docker, Nomad, Kubernetes, and Linux.
