Quantitative Analyst, Ph.D. Intern (New York) – Summer 2027 (Quantitative Finance)

Location: New York, United States; onsite 12-week internship from June to August 2027

Salary: $30,000 monthly base salary, plus overtime pay, a $30,000 sign-on bonus, travel coverage, furnished summer housing or a $10,000 housing allowance, a $3,300 self-study stipend, and a $4,000 personal technology stipend.

What you will do

• Work on a research project involving statistical modeling techniques and financial data analysis.
• Write software to analyze financial data.
• Collaborate with a dedicated mentor in a quantitative research group.
• Attend an academic speaker series and track academic progress in relevant areas.
• Interact with interns and employees from similar academic backgrounds in a collegial research environment.

Requirements

• Be a Ph.D. candidate usually approaching the final year of full-time study.
• Demonstrate strong academic achievement and research productivity in mathematics, statistics, physics, engineering, computer science, or another technical and quantitative field.
• Show creativity, abstract reasoning, problem-solving ability, and quantitative thinking.
• Have an interest or experience in data-driven research and high-level programming languages such as Python.
• Prior probability or statistics knowledge is beneficial; previous finance experience is not required.
• Be able to participate in the program in New York from June through August 2027.
