What you will do
- Lead the development and optimization of fabrication processes for next-generation quantum chips.
- Design, execute, and analyze hypothesis-driven experiments involving new materials, fabrication methods, and process flows.
- Assess technical feasibility, risks, and integration strategies for future quantum processing unit architectures.
- Collaborate with Design, Calibration, Equipment Engineering, Process Integration, Chip Production, and Cleanroom teams to bring fabrication technologies into production.
- Mentor Process Engineers and Technicians in experimental design, troubleshooting, and technical development.
- Document technical knowledge through reports, publications, and patent contributions while supporting the transition from R&D to scalable manufacturing.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in micro- or nanofabrication, including at least 2 years in R&D or technology development in quantum or semiconductor technologies.
- Deep expertise in quantum chip or advanced semiconductor fabrication processes and experience developing and validating manufacturing techniques.
- Master’s degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Nanotechnology, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Experience designing structured investigations, interpreting complex data, and making evidence-based technical decisions.
- Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams, independently drive long-term initiatives, and navigate uncertainty.
- Strong technical communication skills and the ability to mentor colleagues.
Nice to have
- Experience contributing to patents, scientific publications, or technology roadmaps.
- Familiarity with scaling research processes into robust, manufacturable production technologies.
- PhD in a relevant field.
