Quantum Engineer, Fabrication (Quantum Computing)

What you will do

• Lead the development and optimization of fabrication processes for next-generation quantum chips.
• Design, execute, and analyze hypothesis-driven experiments covering new materials, fabrication methods, and process flows.
• Assess technical feasibility, risks, and integration strategies for future QPU architectures.
• Collaborate with Design, Calibration, Equipment Engineering, Process Integration, Chip Production, and Cleanroom teams to bring technologies into production.
• Mentor Process Engineers and Technicians in experimental design, troubleshooting, and technical development.
• Document technical knowledge through reports, publications, and patent contributions while scaling successful R&D developments into manufacturing.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in micro- or nanofabrication, including at least 2 years in R&D or technology development in quantum or semiconductor technologies.
• Deep expertise in quantum chip or advanced semiconductor fabrication processes and development of new manufacturing techniques.
• Master’s degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Nanotechnology, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Experience designing structured investigations, interpreting complex data, and making evidence-based technical decisions.
• Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams, independently lead long-term initiatives, and navigate uncertainty.
• Strong technical communication and mentoring skills; advanced, senior, or staff-level experience is welcomed.

• Experience contributing to patents, scientific publications, or technology roadmaps.
• Experience scaling research processes into robust, manufacturable production technologies.
