Staff Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: US Remote; candidates must be eligible to work in the United States

Salary: $135,867–$203,800 per year

What you will do

• Build core digital banking experiences for bank administrators and customers.
• Craft streamlined user flows and robust backend APIs.
• Integrate services with third-party software such as Plaid and SendGrid.
• Design and implement reliable, well-tested services with strong error handling, logging, and performance.
• Break down complex product requirements into maintainable technical solutions.
• Provide architectural guidance, technical suggestions, and code reviews for teammates.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience with backend technologies such as Node, Python, Go, or TypeScript.
• Strong experience with REST APIs, microservice architecture, and domain-driven design.
• Experience with system design and communicating and advocating for architectural decisions.
• Exposure to React and NestJS.
• Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment.
• Eligibility to work in the US for full-time employment; employment sponsorship is not available.
