Senior Business Value Engineer (Observability)

Location: Germany (Remote)

Salary: EUR 137,000–164,500 OTE per year, plus Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

What you will do

• Collaborate with customers to uncover opportunities for growth and profitability through personalized value storytelling.
• Develop quantitative and qualitative ROI and TCO models for products, emerging trends, and market challenges.
• Enable pre-sales and post-sales teams through training, content development, and ongoing support.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to create unified narratives that communicate Grafana's value proposition.
• Work with Account Executives, Solutions Engineers, and Observability Architects to define and articulate business value.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in value management, consulting, or value engineering.
• Strong understanding of quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Ability to analyze complex data sets and create compelling customer-facing stories.
• Ability to communicate findings effectively to technical and executive audiences.
• Experience collaborating with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Finance leaders.
• Growth mindset and ability to learn new technologies and adapt quickly.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of observability experience.
• Experience with open source tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or Loki.
• Familiarity with the open source landscape and community.
