Intern in Testing (DAC)

Location: Hybrid in Opfikon, Zurich, Switzerland, with onsite work at least three days per week.

Salary: CHF 2,000 per month during BSc or MSc studies; CHF 2,500 per month after completion of an MSc.

What you will do

• Test, engineer, and validate innovative technology concepts for reliable Direct Air Capture results.
• Support the design and engineering of upgrades for small- and medium-scale testing systems.
• Contribute to the technological development and refinement of test facilities.
• Evaluate measurement methods based on test results and practical implementation.
• Plan and execute validation activities, analyze data, and communicate findings to stakeholders.

Requirements

• BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field; currently enrolled or graduated within the last year.
• Practical CAD experience and familiarity with technical drawing standards.
• Strong foundational knowledge of thermodynamics and fluid dynamics, with an understanding of small- and medium-scale testing process design.
• Adaptability, flexibility, creativity, reliability, and a structured, performance-driven work style.
• Fluent English is required.
• Available for a full-time six-month internship, ideally starting October 1, 2026; applicants must be EU/EFTA citizens or already hold a Swiss work permit.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of German.
