Lead Associate - Data Ontology / AI

Location: Hybrid in Pune, India

What you will do

• Design and maintain enterprise ontologies, taxonomies, business vocabularies, and semantic data models.
• Develop and manage knowledge graphs connecting business entities, relationships, processes, and data assets.
• Define shared business concepts, data standards, and semantic frameworks with business and technical stakeholders.
• Implement semantic modeling solutions using Microsoft Fabric and related Microsoft data and AI platforms.
• Support generative AI, retrieval-augmented generation, and advanced analytics initiatives through knowledge representation.
• Establish ontology lifecycle governance, versioning, stewardship, quality assurance, documentation, and stakeholder training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Knowledge Management, Library Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in ontology development, semantic technologies, metadata management, or knowledge graph solutions.
• Experience designing and implementing knowledge graphs and semantic data models.
• Strong understanding of ontology concepts, taxonomy design, and enterprise information architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, graph databases, linked data, RDF, OWL, SPARQL, or similar technologies.
• Strong SQL, data modeling, data engineering, communication, documentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of AI, machine learning, and RAG architectures.
• Awareness of emerging standards and best practices in knowledge representation, linked data, and semantic technologies.
