Principal, Data Governance and Compliance Monitoring

What you will do

• Manage and govern enterprise data across Microsoft 365, Power BI, Atlassian Suite, and cloud platforms.
• Perform advanced data discovery, search, retrieval, classification, preservation, remediation, and other data lifecycle operations.
• Administer Microsoft 365 compliance controls, including retention, eDiscovery, permissions governance, data protection, and monitoring.
• Support investigations, audits, and regulatory requests through targeted data retrieval and analysis.
• Troubleshoot complex collaboration-platform and data-access issues while developing root-cause solutions.
• Automate data processes and workflows using PowerShell, APIs, Power Platform, webhooks, and AI-enabled tools.

Requirements

• 6–10 years of experience in data management, enterprise data search, and collaboration platforms.
• Hands-on expertise with Microsoft 365, including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Azure AD, and Power BI.
• Experience with enterprise data discovery, large-scale repositories, structured and unstructured data, and data lifecycle management.
• Experience with Atlassian Suite, including Jira and Confluence, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Workspace.
• Programming or scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, JavaScript, or similar technologies.
• Strong technical troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, automation, API, or workflow-tooling skills.

Nice to have

• Microsoft, cloud, or compliance certifications such as MS-500, AZ-104, Purview, or CIPP.
• Experience with digital forensics and advanced eDiscovery workflows.
• Experience using AI-enabled tools for data management.
