is hiring for a regional accounting leadership role supporting multiple entities and jurisdictions.
What you will do
- Lead and coordinate month-end close activities for assigned entities.
- Review trial balances, reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, depreciation, revaluations, intercompany transactions, and manual journal entries.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and local accounting, tax, statutory, regulatory, and statistical requirements.
- Manage and develop GL and Fixed Assets Accountants, including workload allocation, coaching, performance management, and KPI tracking.
- Coordinate statutory audits, external accounting and tax providers, PBC requests, and SLA compliance.
- Report regional close status, accounting issues, risks, and process improvement opportunities to Global Accounting Management.
Requirements
- 5+ years of accounting experience, including experience as a Senior GL Accountant, GL Lead, or Accounting Manager.
- Strong practical knowledge of IFRS, general ledger accounting, month-end close, accounting controls, and financial data validation.
- Experience with statutory, tax, and regulatory reporting, statutory audits, and communication with external auditors.
- Experience managing or coordinating an accounting team and working with external accounting or tax providers.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP or accounting systems.
- English at B2+ level or higher.
Nice to have
- Experience in an international group, financial services, fintech, trading, or another regulated industry.
- Experience with ERP implementation, accounting automation, process transformation, shared service centers, or centralized accounting.
- Experience with multi-currency accounting, complex intercompany structures, and accounting policies or internal controls.
- ACCA, DipIFR, CIMA, or another relevant professional accounting qualification.
