Global Payroll Manager (1 year FTC)

What you will do

• Lead global payroll transformation initiatives from planning through implementation, handover, and post-go-live support.
• Manage new-country and new-entity payroll setups, provider implementations, vendor migrations, and EOR-to-direct-payroll transitions.
• Coordinate requirements, configuration, data mapping, testing, parallel runs, cutover, go-live, and hypercare.
• Oversee accurate payroll delivery, reviews, approvals, funding, statutory payments, reconciliations, and issue resolution across assigned countries and entities.
• Partner with HR, Finance, Legal, Tax, HR Technology, IT, and external payroll vendors on compliance, integrations, and employee queries.
• Strengthen payroll controls, documentation, payroll-to-GL processes, reporting, forecasting, and period-end close activities.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of end-to-end payroll experience, ideally across multiple countries and in a high-growth technology or fintech environment.
• Experience delivering payroll transformation, implementation, migration, system improvement, or automation projects.
• Strong project-management skills covering requirements gathering, stakeholder management, risk tracking, testing, cutover, and post-go-live support.
• Hands-on experience with new-country or new-entity payroll setup, vendor onboarding, payroll-to-GL mapping, journal validation, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Experience with HRIS, payroll, Finance/ERP, banking, treasury, SFTP, or other payroll-related integrations.
• Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, employment tax, statutory requirements, separation payments, analytical reporting, and confidential data handling.

Nice to have

• Experience with equity-related payroll treatment and reporting, including RSUs, ESOPs, private equity, or tender offers.
