What you will do

• Lead the design and architecture of scalable, reliable, and high-performance cloud-based data solutions.
• Build production-grade data pipelines for field data collection, analysis, and inference.
• Design customer cloud and on-premise solutions for data storage, lookup, and processing.
• Implement data governance, security, and compliance standards.
• Monitor the health, accuracy, and costs of data systems in real time.
• Integrate edge-computing solutions and AI models across research and production workflows.

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on programming experience with high-level languages, including Python.
• 8+ years of experience designing, building, or administering large-scale software systems.
• Experience with AWS, EKS, Airflow, Spark, SageMaker, MongoDB, and SQL.
• Expertise in designing and implementing highly resilient big-data applications.
• Academic degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems.
• Experience with NIST compliance and security protocols, plus strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of experience in an architect capacity or a comparable role.
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Experience with on-premise Kubernetes.
• Security-focused professional background.
• AWS or other relevant cloud certifications.
