Security Intelligence Analyst (Cybersecurity)

Location: Home-based in the UK (England and Wales), with sporadic travel for training and occasional team meetings

What you will do

• Conduct OSINT research and investigations into threats affecting BT people, assets, operations, and reputation.
• Provide protective intelligence support to Executive Security and Travel Risk teams.
• Assess travel risks for executives and employees travelling globally.
• Monitor social media, digital platforms, open sources, activist groups, protest movements, criminal networks, and other threat actors.
• Produce threat assessments, horizon-scanning reports, and actionable intelligence briefings for senior stakeholders.
• Support incident response, collaborative investigations, intelligence-sharing initiatives, and security forums.

Requirements

• Experience conducting Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) investigations.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, investigative, and information-challenging skills.
• Ability to produce concise intelligence reports and executive briefings.
• Knowledge of threat-assessment methodologies, geopolitics, and global risk trends.
• Excellent written communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience working with sensitive information.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting executive protection or protective intelligence programmes.
• Experience in travel risk management.
• Knowledge of telecommunications, infrastructure, or retail security threats.
• Experience working with law-enforcement, intelligence, or security functions.
• Intelligence qualification or equivalent professional experience.
