Satellite Flight Operator

Location: Hybrid work from one of the listed locations: Harwell, UK; Athens, Greece; Barcelona, Spain; Porto, Portugal; or Tenerife. Candidates must have the legal right to work in their chosen location.

What you will do

• Run daily and time-critical satellite operations.
• Monitor telemetry, system performance, and overall spacecraft behaviour.
• Execute planned activities using approved procedures and checklists.
• Respond to anomalies, follow escalation paths, and support initial fault investigations.
• Support launch, early orbit, commissioning, and end-of-life operations.
• Maintain operational logs, reports, shift handovers, procedures, and checklists while contributing to process improvements.

Requirements

• Solid understanding of satellite subsystems and spacecraft behaviour in orbit.
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry and operational indicators.
• Experience or confidence working in real-time operational environments where accuracy matters.
• Comfort with Unix command-line tools and basic scripting.
• Strong attention to detail, procedural discipline, reliability, and calm decision-making under time pressure.
• Legal right to work in the selected work location; application and CV must be submitted in English.
