TL;DR
Senior AI Engineer (LLM systems and context engineering): Building and scaling the context engine through data pipelines, AI services, agent architectures, and evaluation frameworks with an accent on production LLM applications, model routing, and developer-facing AI infrastructure. Focus on designing reliable agent tool surfaces, evaluating non-deterministic systems, and optimizing safety, latency, and cost across frontier models.
Location: Vancouver, BC; on-site four days per week

What you will do
- Build and scale data pipelines and AI services processing large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
- Design end-to-end LLM systems covering prompting, context engineering, agent architectures, and evaluation frameworks.
- Work with Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and open-source models, routing them by capability, latency, and cost.
- Design tool and context surfaces that agents can reliably reason over and act on.
- Influence the roadmap, mentor teammates, and raise the technical bar across the engineering team.
Requirements
- Based in Vancouver, BC and willing to work in the office four days per week.
- Production experience shipping LLM applications at scale.
- Hands-on experience with context engineering, including agentic retrieval, chunking, embeddings, reranking, and graphs.
- Experience with frontier models, evaluation harnesses for non-deterministic systems, and complex backend systems.
- Expert familiarity with agentic coding environments and software development in a modern typesafe language.
- Demonstrated leadership through delivery of a project and experience building developer-facing AI infrastructure.
Nice to have
- Working knowledge of AI observability and evaluation tooling.
- Experience building MCP servers or agent SDKs.
- Experience with LLM safety and guardrails, including prompt injection, PII handling, and untrusted content ingestion.
- Experience with eval-driven optimization through distillation or fine-tuning.
