Senior Production Operations Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes)

What you will do

• Own application operations and production support for internal and public-facing services running on AWS and container platforms.
• Drive production readiness for new services through provisioning, automation, monitoring, alerting, dashboards, runbooks, rollback planning, and operational acceptance criteria.
• Build automation, scripts, tools, and repeatable workflows that reduce operational toil and improve incident response.
• Improve observability, event correlation, service health signals, incident workflows, and reporting to reduce MTTD and MTTR.
• Partner with SRE, data services, CI/CD, platform hosting, service engineering, and product teams to improve reliability and operational readiness.
• Provide rotational on-call support, lead incident triage and mitigation, and document post-incident reviews with corrective actions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience operating and supporting production services at scale, including hands-on incident management, on-call support, RCA, and corrective-action tracking.
• 3+ years of AWS Cloud experience deploying, tuning, and operating Java/API services.
• Strong knowledge of distributed service operations, Linux, networking, TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, load balancing, and API troubleshooting.
• Experience with AWS services, Docker, Kubernetes, EKS/UKS, Fargate, autoscaling, and cloud operations.
• Automation and software development experience in Python, Go, or Java, plus Git, configuration management, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD tooling.
• Experience with observability, incident management, data reporting, analytics, and AI-assisted or agentic engineering workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience with payment processing, commerce, entitlements, wallets, fraud, or financial systems.
• BS degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
