Detection Researcher/Security Engineer (iOS Focused)

Location: Remote across Europe, with listed locations including Spain, Germany, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Latvia, Romania, the United Kingdom, and France; Argentina is also listed as a remote location.

What you will do

• Design, prototype, and implement iOS detection techniques and algorithms using runtime data, sysdiagnose files, and backup forensics.
• Research iOS internals and develop detection capabilities against advanced mobile threats.
• Lead and participate in brainstorming sessions focused on novel detection approaches.
• Build and maintain internal tooling and automation for analysis, triage, and detection development.
• Analyze customer forensic data, write technical reports, and provide remediation guidance.
• Publish technical blog posts about emerging security risks and research findings.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of iOS internals, including encrypted backups, daemons, services, sandboxing, and code signing.
• Experience applying data analysis methods to forensic investigations and detecting compromised devices.
• Reverse-engineering experience with IDA Pro, Ghidra, Hopper, or equivalent tools, including scripting and SDK usage.
• Programming experience in C, Python, Objective-C, and Swift, with the ability to write efficient, maintainable, and secure code.
• Ability to collaborate effectively, lead focused sub-groups, and approach investigations from both offensive and defensive perspectives.

Nice to have

• Experience reverse engineering proprietary protocols and interprocess communication mechanisms such as XPC, Mach messages, and IOKit.
• Practical knowledge of jailbreak methods and iOS exploit classes, including kernel exploits, sandbox escapes, and code-signing bypasses.
• Experience analyzing iOS exploits or exploit chains.
