Credentialing & Enrollment Specialist (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Review initial and reappointment credentialing applications and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Conduct primary source verification and coordinate credentialing committee reviews.
• Submit and track provider license, DEA, CSR, and payor enrollment applications.
• Follow up with providers and payors to resolve missing information, delays, and credentialing or reimbursement issues.
• Maintain accurate provider enrollment data, demographics, practice locations, and terminations in CAQH, payor portals, and internal databases.
• Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Billing, and Contracting teams.

Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in credentialing and enrollment.
• Knowledge of multi-state or national provider credentialing and enrollment.
• Experience with PECOS, Medicare, and/or state Medicaid enrollment platforms.
• Knowledge of Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, or comparable task management suites.

Nice to have

• NAMSS Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) certification.
