Forward Deployed Software Engineer, New Grad - US Government

Location: New York, NY; on-site work from an office is required. The role may require travel to client sites, with 25–50% travel preferred depending on the team and location.

Salary: $135,000–$145,000 per year, excluding potential bonuses, benefits, and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Work directly with customers to understand complex operational problems and design data-driven solutions.
• Own end-to-end execution of high-stakes projects in small teams with minimal supervision.
• Discuss software architecture and implement technical solutions with other engineers.
• Process and manage massive-scale data using appropriate storage and infrastructure technologies.
• Build custom web applications and collaborate with customer executives and internal product teams.
• Establish technical strategy and adapt solutions through ongoing iteration with users.

Requirements

• Active US security clearance or eligibility and willingness to obtain a US security clearance.
• Engineering background, preferably in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Data Science.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java, C++, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
• Ability to learn continuously, work independently, and make decisions with minimal direction.
• Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders in an evolving environment.
• Interest in using large-scale data to solve valuable business problems.
