Senior Experimental Quantum Physicist (Quantum Computing)

hirify.global Quantum Electronics is developing a hybrid quantum architecture based on spin qubits in carbon nanotubes coupled through a circuit quantum electrodynamics platform, with the goal of building a fault-tolerant quantum processing unit.

What you will do

• Design, calibrate, and optimize DC and microwave experiments in dilution cryostats using high-frequency control electronics.
• Develop scalable, documented, and reproducible measurement and data-analysis workflows.
• Improve device performance through continuous collaboration with engineering teams.
• Connect experimental observations with physical models in collaboration with the theory team.
• Collaborate with software engineers on experiment scheduling, automation, and data analysis as the QPU scales.
• Investigate spin qubits in carbon nanotubes integrated with high-impedance cQED architectures.

Requirements

• PhD in quantum physics or a closely related discipline, or a master's degree with substantial research experience.
• Additional experience as a postdoctoral researcher or in industry.
• Hands-on experience with quantum experiments, qubits, DC transport, and microwave spectroscopy.
• Fluent Python skills for autonomous experiment control, data processing, and reusable tool development.
• Clear written and spoken English communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience mentoring or supervising PhD students or interns, preferably with company experience in a similar domain.
