What you will do
- Develop and implement the global external partnership strategy across the vaccine value chain, from research to industrialization.
- Lead and develop the global Science Partnerships and Funding team, including regional leads for the UK/Europe and Middle East, Americas, France, and Asia Pacific.
- Build and manage relationships with public and private partners, funding agencies, and external stakeholders across global regions.
- Oversee grant proposals, budgets, partnership value propositions, administration processes, compliance, and reporting.
- Define performance indicators, assess risks, and report partnership and funding progress to executive and portfolio leadership.
- Identify and pursue innovative funding streams and partnership models for vaccine R&D and infrastructure investments.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in bacteriology, virology, immunology, vaccinology, or a related discipline, or an M.D. or Pharm.D.
- At least 10 years of post-graduate work experience.
- Experience establishing public-private partnerships and managing external funding opportunities.
- Strategic, interpersonal, team leadership, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Fluent English communication skills and the ability to work in international settings.
- Based in Lyon / Marcy L'Etoile, France.
