What you will do
- Coordinate with domain experts in aerodynamics, propulsion, electronics, sensors, and electromechanical systems to understand and prepare their models for simulation.
- Integrate physical drone models into the simulator software stack using clean, performant, maintainable interfaces and configurable parameters.
- Define and run validation tests against flight logs, bench tests, manufacturer data, and other reference data.
- Work with GNC, Embedded, and Validation users to establish model realism and fidelity targets for different use cases.
- Balance fidelity, performance, and integration effort when prioritizing model integration work.
- Document model parameters, validity domains, validation results, and integration standards.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience in software engineering, simulation, or a related engineering field.
- Good understanding of flight dynamics and sufficient physics knowledge to work with aerospace and electromechanical models.
- Experience integrating third-party models or components into larger software systems and validating them against experimental data.
- Strong working knowledge of C++, Python, and Linux environments.
- BSc or MSc in Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, Applied Physics, or a similar technical field; equivalent professional experience is accepted.
- Ability to work on-site in Paris.
Nice to have
- Experience with drones or robotic systems, especially PX4 or ArduPilot.
- Hands-on experience with flight testing, test benches, or log analysis.
- French language skills.
