Flight Operations Support - Meteorologist (f/m) (Aviation Meteorology)

Location: Toulouse, France; occasional worldwide travel of approximately one week per year and on-call duties on weekends and public holidays.

Airbus develops and tests commercial aircraft and supports aerospace operations through its Flight & Integration Test Centre.

What you will do

• Monitor worldwide weather conditions for flight-test preparation in Toulouse, Hamburg, Seville, and external missions.
• Prepare weather reports and briefings for flight-test crews, engineers, and pilots.
• Notify crews about weather-dependent test opportunities and provide real-time in-flight decision support through telemetry and SATCOM/VHF links.
• Reduce planning risks for flight-test programmes.
• Improve and transform weather-forecasting tools used in flight testing.
• Conduct ad-hoc meteorological studies and support Airbus entities including ATR, Helicopters, Defence and Space.

Requirements

• Background in meteorology with strong knowledge of aviation meteorology.
• Analytical skills and proficiency with digital tools including Python and R.
• Knowledge of AI.
• Advanced English and French required.
• Ability to work under pressure in a reactive environment with strong stakeholder-management and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to perform on-call duties, work flexible shifts, and travel occasionally worldwide.
